Perrin P's Next Book is Coming soon!

Perrin P Piddy's Special Job has been submitted for review and the proof is on order!  If all goes well, the book should be available for sale starting 25 June!

Perrin tackles household chores in his new book.  From putting away his toys to getting the mail, Perrin is a big helper!

I will admit that several of the photos had to be staged.  Like a human child, Perrin doesn't stay in one place too long.  I used dry instant oatmeal to bribe Perrin to stand still (you can see the oatmeal in many of the pictures - I'm telling you this so you know it is oatmeal and not really large dust particles).

Perrin P Piddy's Special Job will be available through CreateSpace and Amazon.com.

Perrin P Piddy is Cleaning House!

Some parents have given me feedback that Perrin P Piddy Eats His Veggies has encouraged their children to eat their veggies.  Yay for kids eating healthy food!  I'm sure the same parents will appreciate Perrin P Piddy's Special Job, as it includes all the chores Perrin helps with around the house.

Perrin really enjoys following us around the house and assisting with the chores.  Have you ever seen a pig do the dishes?  How about pick up his toys?  The picture above shows Perrin's enthusiasm for taking out the trash.  Sure, Perrin can't actually carry a trash bag, but I'm sure he would if he were bigger.  He's such a good boy.

Maybe Perrin will inspire a few kids to pick up a toy or two.  If not, at least it will be a cute read.

Perrin P Piddy's Special Job

Perrin and I are currently hard at work on Perrin P Piddy's Special Job.  Believe it or not, it isn't easy to  put this together!  I have to find decent photographs, which means getting Perrin to pose for the photos. He's really enjoying doing household chores while I follow him around with the camera. We have doing the dishes covered, but I don't trust him to help with the cooking.

The book will also contain an original illustration from artist Tatiana Quigley.  A sketch she drew during an incredibly stimulating conference call today is shown above (this is not what will be in the book).  Think of the illustration as a bonus in the book - Original story, color photographs, plus an illustration for the low, low price of $8.95 (probably less, since Amazon likes to discount).

What's Next for Perrin P Piddy?

People have asked me what will Perrin do in the next book.  I've even received a few requests:  "Would you please write about going to bed on time so my toddler will have a role model?"

I do have a plan for the next several books, but they haven't come together quite yet.  Perrin P may find himself doing household chores or making friends with lizards and squirrels.  He may also find himself dressed in really bad costumes (poor piddy!).

The key is I need decent pictures!  Perrin has no clue why I'm following him around with a camera.  We're stuck with waiting until Perrin poses for the pictures until I learn how to photoshop.
